Answers to all of your questions about Boston FinTech Week.
Will Boston FinTech Week be virtual or in-person?
Boston FinTech Week was started as, and remains, a community-centered event. So the health and safety of our wonderful community is always our top priority. That’s why we’ve decided to host all our general session content virtually.
We were eager to be back together in-person this year, but at this point, we believe hundreds of people in a centralized, indoor location is risky for everyone. We’ve greatly considered the other options, including hosting at smaller venues and requiring vaccines for attendance.
In speaking to many of you, it seems that our community already prefers the virtual option, too. This will allow us to host a safe event, as well as welcome a more global audience and bring you some exciting speakers who might not have been able to attend in person. Coming off the success of our two virtual FinTech Talk events, we’re confident in the success and engagement of a more virtual Boston FinTech Week.
There will still be modest opportunities for in-person connections, with safety protocols. Some of our community-organized events may choose to host their events in-person, and we encourage groups to host local Watch Parties. Please check back on the Boston FinTech Week website for coming details.
How am I able to participate?
All Boston FinTech Week general content is going to be provided online via an interactive platform. Links to access the platform will be sent to those registered before the event.
There will also be modest opportunities for in-person connections, with safety protocols. Some of our community-organized events may choose to host their events in-person as well.

Should I travel to Boston for Boston FinTech Week?
For the health and safety of our community, we have decided to host all Boston FinTech Week general sessions virtually – instead of in-person. You will be able to participate in all of the main events from the comfort of your own home or office, no matter where in the world you are. While there may be modest in-person opportunities hosted by our community partners, they will have limited invitations and capacity due to safety protocols. If you would be traveling in from out of town for Boston FinTech Week, we’d encourage you to attend our event virtually.
Please note, for any in-person event, each of our community partners will outline their health and safety policy unique to the venue and organization. As we have all experienced for the last year, COVID-19 health guidelines are continuing to evolve.
As we have all experienced for the last year, COVID-19 health guidelines are continuing to evolve. If you’d still like to travel to Boston for the week, we’d encourage you to continue to monitor the evolving state and local guidelines.
